When you first learn about your child’s disability you don’t know what to do. It’s all so overwhelming… until the helpers come. For the past 13 years, Chrysalis has been there for our family. They’ve provided a meaningful community where our son can belong, create, play, and work. When Edward was born, we thought everything depended on us. We had no idea that the world was filled with so many thoughtful, committed, and compassionate souls—and that Chrysalis had hired so many of them.

I was first employed at Chrysalis as an Art Specialist in 2020. It was a difficult time for everyone during Covid, but we rose to the challenge and brought art to people’s homes by delivering art kits and going online to facilitate workshops.

Being part of a team that works hard to bring joy and meaning to the lives of others has been an invaluable journey for me. I am grateful for the experiences I’ve had and the people I've grown fond of.
